Throughout November and December, the Sami people gather the reindeer from the mountains and forests, with the end goal of separating the reindeer out into their respective families during the ‘skiljningar’ events. This video follows me and the other herders from the Jåhkågaska Sami Community as we head up into Sarek National Park for a week long trip, to herd up all the reindeer that we find, and migrate with them down into the low-lands where we have a large pen with which we put the reindeer into!

This video gives an insight into what kind of work the Sami reindeer herders put in to find and herd their reindeer each year.
